This week I have been trimming interior windows and doors. It is such enjoyable work. The profile of these logs creates a small V groove at the top and bottom of every course. Surface-mounted trim would look unsightly because the groove would allow you to see behind the trim. Counter-sinking gives the trim a clean, custom look. It takes a little time but the final product is definitely worth the effort.
