"Sweet & Sour" Larry Sweeney was a Top 5 promo from the 2000's Indy era. The man just oozed charisma and could cut a promo on a wet dishrag. Some would say he had somewhat of a cookie cutter heel moveset, but the man really made it work and told an amazing story almost every time he was in the ring. I think it helped that he had a hell of a Diving Elbow Drop (12 Large Elbow). Larry Sweeney unfortunately took his own life in 2011. We can only imagine where Sweeney would be in the business if he never succumbed to his demons. I have no doubts he would be thriving. His skills in the ring would have only sharpened over time, and he was already a 10/10 on the mic. His feud with Eddie Kingston throughout 2006 was captivating, brutal, and personal. That feud alone is worth checking Larry Sweeney out if you've never heard of him. Enjoy the video!
