She was the first woman to become a professor of Mathematics, and she was born on January 15th 1850. Sofia Kovalevskaya stands out as a symbolic figure in the history of women in science and higher education.
Griboyedov wrote one comedy that became famous 30 years after his death, but is still quoted by millions of Russian speakers on the daily basis, and a couple of quite well-known music pieces, but he was famous for his diplomatic achievements and tragic death. However, Горе от ума ("Woe from Wit") belongs to golden classics of Russian literature, and his life story would be a cool biopic.
