For years, many Black Americans have been speaking openly about experiencing racism and anti-Blackness from within the Indian community, both in the United States and globally. These conversations have often been dismissed, minimized, or ignored.

In this video, we take a different approach.

Instead of accusations or outside opinions, you’ll hear Indian people themselves speaking honestly about anti-Blackness, colorism, and racism within their own communities. From India to the diaspora, including the US, Canada, the UK, and South Africa, these voices reveal how deeply rooted these issues are, and how they continue to affect Black people worldwide.

This video explores:
-Anti-Blackness within the Indian community
-Colorism and the treatment of darker-skinned Indians
-Why Black Indians and dark-skinned Indians are rarely represented in Bollywood and Indian media
-How these beliefs are learned early and passed down through families
-Racism faced by Black people in Indian and South Asian diaspora communities
-Why Black Americans keep encountering similar treatment across different cultures
-Indian creators acknowledging, confronting, and taking accountability for anti-Blackness
