This video features original NASA TV coverage of the Space Shuttle Atlantis landing at Kennedy Space Center following the successful completion of mission STS-101. The 10-day mission, flown from May 19 to May 29, 2000, was a resupply and maintenance flight to the International Space Station (ISS), designated mission 2A.2a.
STS-101 marked the first Space Shuttle mission flown with a modernized glass cockpit. During the mission, Atlantis traveled approximately 4.1 million miles, completed 155 orbits of Earth, and safely landed on Runway 15 at Kennedy Space Center. This footage captures the historic landing as broadcast live on NASA TV.
