What is prenatal, antenatal, perinatal or antepartum depression and anxiety? In this video I discuss what signs your health care provider (doctor, midwife, therapist, etc.) will be looking for to diagnose your depression or anxiety during pregnancy.

Post partum depression has taken centre stage for quite a while, and just recently prenatal depression (those same feelings of helplessness, sorrow, guilt, anxiety and even rage, DURING pregnancy as apposed to after you give birth) has been getting much more attention.

Antenatal Depression can be a precursor to PPD. It's important to address it as soon as you can. The health and safety of you and your unborn child can be at risk if left untreated or ignored.
