The National Democratic Alliance's Vice President candidate, CP Radhakrishnan, has garnered support from the Janata Dal (United). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar confirmed JDU's backing, stating, "the decision to make Maharashtra governor Shri CP Radhakrishnan, the NDA candidate for the post of vice president is welcome. JDU will support CP Radhakrishnan. Best wishes to him." This endorsement follows similar support from other NDA allies, including Chirag Paswan and Chandrababu Naidu. The Vice Presidential election is scheduled for September 9. The nomination process is underway, with the last date for filing nominations set for August 21. CP Radhakrishnan is expected to file his nomination on this date. Training for Members of Parliament is slated for September 6, 7, and 8, leading up to the voting on September 9.
