I’ll be honest, when I first saw the promo photos I was a little concerned. With how saturated the RC market is right now, it’s easy to assume new releases are just re-skinned versions of existing platforms. Yes, the SBK Stormbreaker is based on the hugely popular Rlaarlo Omni platform, but after getting it on the bench and out on the ground, it’s clear this buggy has had meaningful tweaks and refinements that give it its own personality.

The Rlaarlo SBK Stormbreaker (SBK10) is a 1/10-scale Ready-to-Run 4WD brushless buggy, designed to deliver strong performance straight out of the box while still offering room to grow for tuning and upgrades.

Key highlights include:

2852 brushless motor (3100KV) for punchy acceleration and strong top-end speed

35A ESC delivering smooth, predictable power control

Lightweight chassis using race-inspired materials

Adjustable aluminium hydraulic shocks mounted on aluminium shock towers

Protective shock caps and covers for durability and smooth damping

High-grip multi-purpose tyres for mixed terrain running

Low-drag rear wing to improve stability at speed

On the ground, the SBK Stormbreaker feels confident across dirt, grass, asphalt, and loose surfaces, soaking up bumps well and staying composed when you start pushing the pace. It’s clearly designed to be fun, fast, and forgiving — whether you’re newer to buggies or just want something you can rip without constant wrenching.
