The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has threatened a long war if Israel does not heed its demands including the lifting of the siege on Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned of harsh strikes if the rocket fire resumes.
Over 2-thousand Palestinians mostly women and children have been killed in the recent Israeli onslaught on Gaza.
