The exclusive Busway solved a lot of the chaos on EDSA.
The buses are no longer swerving between every lane and causing so much traffic with illegal loading and illegal terminals.
Plus commuters now get to their destination much faster than before, thanks to the exclusive lane and organized bus stops. Often their trip is as short as 30 minutes, compared to the 2-3 hours the same trip would take in the past.
And because emergency vehicles like ambulances are also allowed to use the busway, they can respond faster and improve the chances of saving a life.
For safety reasons, many of the concrete barriers were replaced with metal poles. Especially on the flyovers and tunnels.
Unfortunately, as you’ve seen in some of my videos, many of those metal poles were already ran over and destroyed, leaving sections of the busway unprotected.
But there are still yellow lane markings, overhead signs, roadside signs and even “BUS ONLY” painted on the floor.
