Sometimes it's called Open Contract, Open General, and or Open Aptitude but nonetheless it means you are not guaranteed a specific job prior to shipping out to BMT. This point of view is based off how I thought I about the option before enlisting and after speaking with my BMT flight peers who came in Open Contract.
