For smallholder farmers in Nepal, access to markets and agricultural inputs remains a challenge—especially in remote areas. Weak rural supply chains limit the availability of essential technologies and services, trapping farmers in cycles of loss and low productivity.
In the final part of our RePLANT video series, we explore how iDE and its partners are strengthening local market systems and last-mile supply chains in Banke and Dang districts. By working with local agro-dealers, financial institutions, and private companies like NAF Seed Pvt. Ltd., the project ensures farmers have consistent access to hermetic storage technologies (HSTs), agricultural inputs, and advisory services.
This market-driven approach empowers private actors to reach underserved areas, creates local business opportunities, and ensures sustainability beyond the life of the project. RePLANT is not just delivering products—it's helping build a resilient rural economy.
