It's one of the oldest models currently still going that was part of the 'BIG MAZDA RESET' generation. Count 'em up, that's a full 10 years ago now.

You might be asking what's it still doing hanging around after that long.
Well, the answer is that it's still really quite good. It only lacks the visual punch because we're all too familiar with it - a victim of its own competence, maybe. Alongside newer cars, objectively, it can still pull the looks. Those aren't gimmicks, they're good genes.

Elsewhere, the truth is that it still shows up as a really well rounded little crossover. Comfortable, well-built, practical, and, oh yeah, way more fun to drive that it has any right to be. Even now, 10 years after it first entered the scene, it's still got some lessons to teach the upstarts and pretenders.

At RM115k and only going up from there, you could probably find something flashier or stuffed with tech, but the Mazda is special to those who know what they want - specifically, those who have test driven the CX-3. And if you want this, there’s really no alternative.

If you've passed on it before, it might be worth taking another look.
