The trip from Vikevåg and up to Vikstemmen - and on to Pilå is not very long, but there are some altitude meters to be forced on a relatively short route. This always means that there will be a lot of uphill. But do not despair, you can do this well. Join a new trip in Rennesøy Municipality.

The first part of the trip is on a paved road, but this is not a long stretch. Right up the hill we find our sign.

Here it is the Tourist Association that has marked and signposted, so no doubt where we are going. The destination for this trip is «Pilå». A well-known vantage point on Rennesøy. Before we get there, we get a break at the beautiful Vikstemmen.

At the sign you see to the right here, we enter a tractor road some distance. We follow this until we come to a large gate, and we now come out into the terrain. Nice path, marked according to all the rules of art.

You can choose to walk the tractor road instead of the terrain up to Vikstemmen, then it will be a partial round trip that will extend the trip by 20 to 30 minutes. We like rough rough terrain and chose this.

The colors in nature still shine with their absence, but now this probably begs in a week or two one would think.

Up by Vikstemmen we meet again the tractor road for those who want to take this road all the way here.

But we're going up to Pilå. Why the place has been given this name we do not know, but the picture to the right might tell something about why? The view is fantastic here, we look into the city, the whole fjord towards Kvitsøy and Boknafjorden. Further most of Rennesøy and into Ryfylket. Rennesøyhodnet is also well seen.
