This is how I make carrier boards for my Carvewright CNC router. Many Carvewright users may use a universal carrier board but for me this method has proven to be successful for the past 13 years. I prefer Baltic birch plywood as a carrier board material because it is smooth and flat, and because I often have some scraps that can be used.
