In this video I took on the challenge of restoring an old Tecalemit Grease Gun. I found this at a local boot sale for only £1.
I was greatly unaware of how many parts a “simple” grease gun would have. If I counted correctly the answer is 47.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Restoration, the only downside was not having a tool to sand deep into corners on the brass parts.
My initial plan was to keep the body plain, however I decided in the last minute to clear coat in order to prevent rust reappearing. I’m aware that the clear coat may peel in the future with constant use.
