SIMONI MCHAWI means Simon the sorcerer. The message of the song is from the book of Acts 8:14-25.
When the apostles heard that Samaria had received the word of God, that even Simon the sorcerer was baptised, they sent Peter and John to them that they may lay hands on the Samaritans to receive the Holy spirit because none had received the spirit of God.
When Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money Saying, "Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit"
Peter rebuked him and told him that the Gift of God couldn't be purchased with money.
Peter then advised Simon the sorcerer to repent so that The Lord may forgive him.
There are sins we have committed knowingly and some unknowingly, like pay for healing, bribing men of God, trying to purchase the gifts of God and many more. It's time we stop and repent.
