Surprisingly, neither Jane nor I had winged-helmets in our extensive wardrobes - so we couldn't be thus attired for this performance back in 1995. Our rather wild (raucous even) Valkyries are here abroad in full and irreverent flight in a different approach to the Ride... rather letting rip...............
Perhaps the halos of serious musicians should fall (ever so slightly) once in a while - and in the absence of such halos (or winged helmets), the picture makes do with Christmas reindeer antlers............ Look! Even Wagner is smiling at our efforts! ;-)
People can take themselves too seriously at times... Jane was riotous fun and a wonderfully outrageous individual, characteristics which only highlighted further her great talents as a very serious artist.
