The 50p is a British 50-pence coin, introduced in 1969 to replace the 10-shilling note as part of the UK's decimalization. It is known for its unique equilateral curve heptagon shape, which is seven-sided but curved, making it easy to identify by touch and allowing it to roll smoothly in vending machines.
