Today Im going to show you how to make cold process soap with just animal fat. Watch the whole video to see two different ways to turn this into soap. First cut up your fat and then crush it in a food processor. Now melt your fat. You will need a soap mold, thermometer, a weigh scale, sodium hydroxide or lye, glass mixing bowl and wooden spoon. You can also have lavender flowers and some plastic containers for mixing. Put your lye and distilled water in the bowl and mix. Leave in an area to fume with lots of ventilation. Next you need to strain the fat to get the particles out. Now add your oil to the lye water once its reach the temperature of 110-120. Mix together with a stick blender. Then you can add crushed oatmeal or crushed lavender flowers. Wiht no additives you can use as a laundry bar soap, With additives it is perfect for a hand soap to get off grease. Pour in mold and cover with plastic. Let sit for 24 hours. Next take soap out of the mold and gently cut. You will need to let the soap cure for 4 weeks and then you can use it.
