While Native Access is the official method for managing and activating Kontakt libraries, it's possible to add them manually. For full Kontakt Player libraries (those with a `.nicnt` file), you'll typically place the library folder on your hard drive. Inside Kontakt, navigate to the 'Libraries' tab, click 'Manage Libraries' (or 'Add Library' in older Kontakt versions), then 'Add Library' again, pointing Kontakt to the library's root folder containing the `.nicnt` file. This registers the library within Kontakt's database, making it appear in the Libraries browser. For non-Player, third-party libraries, or instrument collections without an `.nicnt` file, you simply browse to the `.nki` instrument files directly using Kontakt's 'Files' tab or Quick-Load browser and load them. These won't appear in the main Libraries pane but are fully functional. Remember, manual addition bypasses Native Access's licensing, updates, and activation features, meaning you're responsible for ensuring the library is properly authorized if it's a paid Player library.
