The FBI says it's investigating what appears to be a second assassination attempt on US Presidential candidate Donald Trump. At Donald Trump's golf course in Florida, authorities are investigating what appears to be an attempted assassination on the former president, just two months after the last attempt, where a bullet hit Mr Trump's ear and left him injured.

While we don't know all the details yet, officials say a secret service agent spotted an armed person waiting nearby, while Mr Trump was playing a round of golf. A man has now been arrested and Mr Trump is safe. President Biden has released a statement saying he's relieved that Mr Trump wasn't hurt. Vice-President Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, along with other politicians in the US and beyond, have made statements saying violence has no place in America.

The stars of the small screen took to the red carpet today for the Emmy Awards! Australia's Elizabeth Debicki won her first Emmy for her portrayal as Princess Diana in The Crown.

SPACEX RETURN
SpaceX's Polaris Dawn crew has returned to Earth! The Dragon capsule splashed down on the weekend after five days in orbit. It was led by billionaire Jared Isaacman, who completed the world's first commercial space walk while he was up there. The four-member crew also travelled further into space than any humans for more than fifty years,

After starting second behind Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri snatched the lead with an epic divebomb on lap 20! Leclerc tried to hang on, but a big crash late in the race sealed Piastri's second ever grand prix win!

AFL
At the AFL Semi-finals, the match between Port Adelaide and Hawthorn went right down to the wire, with Port taking the win by just 3 points at the final siren. But it was Port Coach Ken Hinkley who caused a stir at the end of the match after a verbal row with Hawks players over an Instagram comment earlier in the week, which left Hinkley with a whopping $20,000 fine! Port will face the Sydney Swans in the Preliminary finals of Friday.

HOBBY HORSE CHAMPS
This is Germany's first ever hobby horsing tournament! Where around 300 riders gallivanted around on their trusty sticks, uhh, I mean steeds, competing in events like dressage, jumping, and racing! Riders say it's very similar to real horse riding, and hope that more people will give the sport a go.

BIG PUMPKIN
First up, to a very big pumpkin that's just been awarded top prize at the Autumn Festival in Russia. Coming in at 817 kilos, it's the heaviest pumpkin anyone in the whole country has ever grown. But if you think that's impressive, well, it's still a ways off. This one from the US, at 1,246.9 kilos, is still by far the world record holder.

TURTLE THERAPY
Now to Darwin, where Timmy the northern longneck turtle has unofficially become a therapy turtle at this children's clinic. Timmy was rescued by Dr Louise here after he was abandoned by his previous owners. And he seems to be loving his new job..

FREEDIVER RECORD
And finally, to the deep, dark waters off the coast of the island of Corsica, where free diver Alexey Molchanov has just broken his own world record. In the Constant Weight Bi-Fins category, he dived to a depth of 125 metres, breaking his previous record by one metre.
