Inside, most of us feel younger than we are.
I’m turning 60 soon… and in my head, I still feel 40.
But one simple dinner with my 88-year-old mom changed the way we’re thinking about time.
We asked her, “How old do you feel inside?”
She said, “50.”
And yet, as we watched her reach for her drink… miss it… search for it again… we were reminded that the body doesn’t always match the number in our minds.
If you’re in your 50s or 60s, you may be in this same season:
Watching your parents age.
Realizing you’re next in line.
Starting to think differently about retirement, independence, and how you want to spend the time you have left.
This conversation isn’t about fear.
It’s about awareness.
It’s about living intentionally — now.
Because retirement isn’t just an ending.
It’s an opening.
We’re asking ourselves:
What do we want the next chapter to look like?
How do we protect our independence?
How do we live fully — while we still feel 40 inside?
💬 How old do you feel inside?
What’s one thing you’ll start doing this week to live more intentionally?
We’d genuinely love to hear from you in the comments.

We’re not here for monetization — we’re here for connection.
We’ve seen too many first responders reach retirement feeling lost, disconnected, or uncertain about what’s next.
If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
