Inevitable second COVID-19 wave confronts UK

“We are now seeing a second wave,” Mr Johnson said.

“Clearly, we are going to keep everything under review, but I don’t want to get into a second national lockdown at all.”

The UK recorded more than 4300 new infections in the last 24 hours, the highest daily rise since May.
