The new Sitaphalmandi - Lallaguda chord line is an easy way to skip the distance for trains coming from Kurnool - Kacheguda line to Kazipet - Nagpur line (Trains like AP/KA Samapark kranthi , Kongu , Wainganga etc....)
The existing chord line goes as the single chord from Sitaphalmandi to Sitaphalmandi Bypass cabin and goes through Lallaguda, Malkajgiri and then to Maula-ali Bypass cabin
As this existing route takes more distance, SCR has planned to make the Sitaphalmandi - Sitaphalmandi Bypass chord line a double line and then construct a new small chord line to join the existing line to Secunderabad - Kazipet mainline so the distance and time travel can be reduced .
