Hi I'm Dr. Sarmela Sunder and I'm a facial plastic surgeon in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles area. I did my undergraduate training at Johns Hopkins University. I did my medical school training at Cornell University and I did an internship in general surgery at Stanford followed by head and neck surgery residency. I then went on to do a fellowship in facial plastic surgery both in cosmetic as well as reconstructive surgery in upstate New York under the mentorship of internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon Dr Vito Cortella.

One of the questions that i always get asked by my patients is why did I chose facial plastic surgery.And I think the most important reason I chose this field is Because I really enjoy the unique relationship that I have with my patients.

It's really a privilege to be able to help a person find an inner confidence that they didn't seem to have because they were insecure about a feature on their face. For example, I've had many women who are a little bit older. Who are working women who feel like they've lost a little of their edge as they're aging. So it's nice to be able to do a quick little procedure for them to be able to give them back that inner confidence. In addition, I also have a lot of patients who are younger men or women who are insecure about a certain feature and feel that that might be something that they want addressed and so it's really a privilege of mine to be able to help someone to achieve that inner confidence and gain that confidence back.
