Daisy Hart moves to the town of Forks and goes exploring the area, including First Beach down at La Push. While she is walking along the shore, she spots a group of people having a picnic and enjoying the day. One of the men looks over to where Daisy is and meets her eyes. Looking stunned, the man gets up and walks over to Daisy, introducing himself as Jacob Black. That was how Daisy got dragged into the wolf pack and learned that vampires are real.
