http://www.TheBlairTeam.com - Welcome to 90 Bicentennial Way, in picturesque Boxborough, Massachusetts.
This little slice of heaven could be yours. Green grass, warm pockets of sunshine and a beautiful canopy of a variety of mature trees, you know something special is ahead as you drive up to the end of the road.
The home was built in 1993 and designed by G.J. Vellante Jr. It sits on 7.01 acres of gorgeous land. The current owners painstakingly picked out every single tree surrounding this home. The landscaping is magnificent and intended to have waves of color for all 3 seasons. An in ground irrigation system insures your surroundings will look lush and green all summer long.
More than 7 acres of manicured lawns, plantings and magnificent specimen trees surround this beautiful home, accented by a gunite pool with a lighted waterfall.
What the current owners had in their mind regarding all of the plantings was a diversity of color, shape, texture, and something that was blooming or providing color in all the seasons. They planted evergreens so there would be color in winter to break up the monotony of leafless trees. They planted both red and green leafed trees. The red breaks up the monotony of all the green and complements the other plantings. In the red leaf category, they have red maple, Japanese maple, plum trees, and chestnut trees. In the green leaf category, they have the various evergreens, oak tree, Bradford pear, and weeping cherry trees, dogwood trees, and Rose of Sharon. The pear, plum, cherry, dogwood all bloom in spring. The Rose of Sharon blooms in late summer.
Some of the spring blooming bushes are azaleas, rhododendrons and lilac. We also have summer blooming Rose of Sharon bushes. In the fall, the burning bushes are fire red around the stone wall. There are several holly's that have red berries for color in the winter.
And to top it off, there are perennials throughout the property, such as spring blooming daffodils, ground covers like lily of the valley, myrtle and bleeding hearts. Summer blooming perennials include Hydrangea, coral bells, lupine, iris, hosta. Some of the late summer blooming perennials keep blooming until frost.
There are also several varieties of grape plants that produce fruit in late summer.
8-9 foot ceilings on both floors give the feeling of spaciousness, while the extra long windows allow loads of natural light in every room.
Conveniences such as a central vacuum system on all levels, California closets in two bedrooms, and garages for 5 cars (2 attached to the home, and 3 in a detached building, which could be converted to stables.
