I'll admit fishing the river mersey hasn't been high on my priority list, in fact it hasn't featured on any list at all. Whether it's changing seasons, pollution, or they just can't be bothered, the Mersey doesn't seem to have fished well at all for the last couple of winters.
But when the guys from Akios suggested a meet up to look at some new products, I thought why not give it a go. And anyway, I could really do with a whiting and a dab for January's species hunt.
