Biometric Data Sharing Partnership Explained on OYE
This morning on the local talk show Open Your Eyes (OYE), officials from the Ministry of Immigration, Labour and Governance (MIGL) explained how the Biometric Data Sharing Partnership (BDSP) system will be used at the borders and the international airport.
Lawrence Thompson, Director of Border Management and Immigration Services (MIGL), and Rudolfo Bol, IT Manager (MIGL), indicated that in addition to system upgrades, training and capacity building will be provided to officers. These officers will be responsible for identifying visitors to Belize who require secondary vetting through the BDSP prior to entry.
