I don't know about you, but I was a rough teen. I wasn't bad, per se. I just wanted to be myself and live my life. I remember my mother saying "hey teenager..." when I would act out and not even knowing why.

Look the hormones are raging. The body is starting to look, feel, smell and sound funny. And we're trying our best to fit in and stand out at the same time.

Pimples are popping out. Hair is growing in places you never had it before. And of course, there is always that one guy or girl at the school that seems to not be affected by it all, at all.

Being a teen can be really rough. Being a parent of a teen can be just as challenging.

I met with Rashmi, who specialized in how parents and teens can talk together and grow closer, as oppose to apart.

I wanted to know what she does, how she does it, and if she had any tips for me, soon to be uncle of a teen (proud and petrified, all at the same time). I also wanted to know what tips she had for parents of teens and teens in how to deal with and talk to parents.

In the middle of the show, my teenage cat Charlie showed up. I think he wanted to learn how to deal with me!
