PITCH - PERFECT | A new species of an inhambu bird called Sururina-da-serra was discovered in the mountains of Acre, in the North region of Brazil. The bird is endemic to the Serra do Divisor National Park, in an area around 315 to 435 meters high.
The Tinamus resonans was discovered by Luis Morais, Marco Crozariol, Fernando Godoy, Ricardo Plácido, and Marcos Raposo. The Chico Mendes Institute gave the start to studies of the conservation of the species and about amplifying its monitoring in the park.
