Through discussions, Straight talk raises and addresses the challenges faced by new artists within the International Caribbean Diaspora of Carnival Arts and the Soca Music Industries. Starting as a radio/club DJ I have gained a wealth of experience over the last 20+ years and with the contacts I have made on my journey, it has led me to my true passion of exploring Caribbean music and arts.
I have seen trends come and go over the years specifically to the technical aspects of DJing and music production within our community.
I am now in a place where I wish to share my knowledge and experience by mentoring and working with newcomers in the Industry via a range of mediums such as the written word via my website or audio/visual works like a podcast or vlog. Whichever path my journey takes, Straight Talk is the platform to have the conversation and share our findings with the world.
