In this video I show how to make string art mason jars styled with beautiful bouquets of inexpensive floral options. I use scrap pieces of wood left over from a home project that each measured ~17.5 X 5.5". I chalk paint one with Waverly Elephant and one with Rustoleum Aged Gray. Using a sanding block purchased from Dollar Tree, I distress each board. I trace a mason jar pattern using a home decor piece I had purchased from Dollar General. You can also print mason jar templates from Google or Pinterest to use as a pattern. The pattern I used measured: 7 3/4 X 5". On the elephant gray board I used a longer, brown nail that measured 1" L and floral twine. The twine length I used for my pattern was ~34" but this will depend on the size of your jar pattern. On the Aged Gray board I used a small, 3/4" nail with a 3 ply, thicker twine. I space my nails 1" apart except at the curves or when you need to define the lid. I wrap the twine to create the outer shape of the jar first then wrap the lid last. I use dabs of hot glue to secure my ends when finished wrapping. I add bows to each one to add another level of color and texture but this is optional because these floral bouquets are beautiful on their own! I stage each board using a variety of inexpensive floral options purchased from Walmart, Dollar General and Dollar Tree. These string art mason jars can be staged in so many ways throughout your home. They can be displayed on a shelf or attach a hanger to make a gallery wall! These can be left out all year and displayed for all seasons, not just Spring. Just change out your florals and embellish as you desire! Very easy project but so beautiful and adds such a unique touch to any space.
