With Easter approaching, I got to thinking of “The Old Rugged Cross,” the famous hymn composed by Rev. George Bennard in December 1912. It was in the apartment home of Albion College Professor Delos Fall, where Bennard lived, that he penned the first verse and chorus of his hymn in the kitchen area with his guitar.
