Number nine from the set of intermediate character pieces.
While I doubt I will ever take a ride in a hot air balloon, this is the closest I will get.
It begins with the balloon taking off into the clear blue sky and floating above the beautiful landscape. Drifting along the currents of air, you are overcome by a sense of wonder. Occasionally, a passing bird will look at the strange object as if to say: "what are you doing here with no wings?"
Suddenly there is an unexpected gust which causes the balloon to pitch a bit, but the pilot has faith in his craft and his skills keep the danger at bay. Soon the momentary fright has passed and all is calm and serene again as the balloon begins its descent back to earth. Once again on solid ground, you are overcome with a feeling of gratitude mixed with a sense of loss. You feel a little smaller in the world, but amazed at the wonder of creation and man's dream to touch the sky.
