Since the takeover of Surfside Buslines by Kinetic and its rebrand, its flagship airport bus route 777 has been operated by a fleet of new BYD D9RA electric buses. They were bodied by Volgren Australia of the Optimus make.
The service between Gold Coast Airport and to the southern terminus of the G:Link is very popular due to the 50 cent fare promotion at time of filming while the Gold Coast light rail extension is underway.
