NEW opportunity for RPNs and PSWs in Ontario: WeRPN's Bridging Educational Grant in Nursing program!

Описание: Hey all you Gritty nurses! We wanted to share an amazing opportunity for RPNs and PSWs in Ontario!
-Designed in partnership with the Government of Ontario, WeRPNs Bridging Educational Grant in Nursing program (also known as BEGIN) is a tuition reimbursement program for eligible students enrolled in bridging programs.

So, what is BEGIN all about?
-The program is intended for PSWs and RPNs looking to bridge to RPN and RN roles and willing to commit to working in Ontario’s Long-Term Care or Home and Community Care sectors.

-After graduating, program participants agree to commit to a year of employment in either sector for every year, or portion of a year, they received BEGIN funding.

That actually sounds amazing, I've never heard of anything like this before. What do you get out of it?
-PSW bridging to RPN can get up to $6,000 per year to cover tuition and mandatory fees for maximum of $15,000 over 3 years.
-And RPN to RN or PSW to RN students can get up to $10,000 per year or maximum of $30,000 over 3 years
-The best part is, these are grants so as long as you commit your post graduate service agreement, you don’t have to pay the money back.

Are there any other benefits?
-Participants may also qualify for additional financial assistance while enrolled to help with costs such as caring for dependents, tutoring and travel.
-BEGIN participants are paired with a dedicated case manager to support them on their journey in the program. They can also access free resources and support such as online NCLEX or REx-PN exam prep resources, career counselling, resume support, and a dedicated job board.
Upon graduation, WeRPN will connect BEGIN graduates to employment opportunities in the LTC and HCC sectors of Ontario, where they can make a huge difference. This can open new doors for so many PSWs and RPNs.
