Pun started his career writing poems in the 4th grade at the inspiring age of 9. His love of writing poems quickly turned into him writing rap lyrics and by the age of 11. His written lyrics, and rebellious attitude joined as one as he sat out to further explore his creative talents.
In December 2020 where he decided to pick up and move to Atlanta where he would do something he never did in life, put his music “First” .
The first two months in Atlanta Pun worked with his in-house producer Shaun Heard and created numerous songs. One of those songs titled “Fine Wine” caught the attention of platinum recording Artist & Song-Writer Ne-Yo. Ne-Yo hosted the song for Grindin Pun, and released it as the number one song on his unsigned artist playlist.
Following the release of the Ne-Yo project Pun received a message from Platinum Record Producer Zaytoven which would ultimately lead to him getting production from Zaytoven. To this date the music is un-released but receiving great feedback from people in the industry.
Grindin Pun has successfully achieved radio play on various FM, satellite, and internet stations worldwide. His song “Pills & Patron” is his highest viewed video with combined views of 2+ million.
With hard work and prayer Grindin Pun says his career is “just getting started and expects to expand sooner than anyone knows”.
