what is vasteloavend?
Vastelaovend is the Limburg version of Carnival, celebrated in the south of the Netherlands. For people in Limburg, it is not just "dressing up and drinking," but a cultural celebration full of traditions, music, humor, and togetherness.

Vastelaovend takes place in the days before Ash Wednesday, usually in February.
However, preparations start months earlier, with events, music competitions, performances, and community gatherings.

The colors from this holiday is Red , yellow and green. Not everywhere in Limburg or Brabant uses the traditional Carnival colors red, yellow, and green.
Different towns and regions have their own local colors, which are an important part of their identity during Carnival.

Examples:

In Brabant, in Oeteldonk (’s-Hertogenbosch), the official Carnival colors are red, yellow, and white.

In Munstergeleen (a village in Limburg), the colors are white, yellow, and blue.

These local variations show how every place has its own traditions and symbols, making Carnival unique in each community.

my name is riana a in the twenties year old girl. who tries to animated for the first time ever!!
So yeah you can call me basicily a noob animator.
Since this year (2025) i started to try to make my own animations.
i was always really inspired by winx club and especially the OC transofmations they made.
