In this walking tour, we have a look at one Japan's most popular spots among tourist and locals to visit, The Fushimi Inari Shrine (or Taisha)!

This spot in Kyoto is considered very sacred for being a site dedicated to the Rice god, Inari in Shintoism. With Foxes being the main messengers, there are tons of mini shrines dedicated to them. The Shrines origins are to predated before Kyoto was considered the Capital city in the 8th Century!

The Fushimi Inari Shrine is a great day spot for hiking, as you'll see there is a loop that takes roughly around 2 hours or more depending on your fitness level, but in the video, we only make it to the first "checkpoint" of the hike, with a shopfront, resting spot overlooking the city of southern Kyoto.

Souvenirs, Vending machines and other refreshments like toilets are available all throughout the hike, making it accessible for most, but this tour is here for those who are unable to climb this majestic mountain.
