Hello! Thank you for stopping by. For this feeder I use a 1" by 8" pine board. The back is cut to 16/18 in in length depending on your preference. The base is an 8" by 8" cut as is screwed to the back by way of resting the back on the base and attaching it from the bottom using 2 " screws. I use three and drill pilot holes. The roof cuts are a 7" by 8" and 8" by 8". The 8" in will overlap the 7" giving it that extra in. at the peak of the roof to make the side seven. I hope you will enjoy this project.
