World War II didn't just erupt.
It was the result of a series of major mistakes in world history that were allowed to grow unchallenged. After World War I ended, the world hoped for a lasting peace. But behind the scenes, wounds, resentments, and injustices deepened. Germany was humiliated, its economy destroyed, and its people desperate. In that vacuum, extremist ideologies flourished.
At the same time, the world had a hope: the World League, or League of Nations. This institution was formed to prevent a repeat of a major war. Unfortunately, that hope was shattered. When Japan invaded Manchuria, Italy invaded Ethiopia, and Nazi Germany began violating international treaties, the World League failed to act decisively. There were no real sanctions. There was no meaningful resistance. The world chose compromise and silence.
The League's failure to address these issues was one of the main triggers of World War II. Crimes that are not nipped in the bud will always grow more audacious. When Germany finally invaded Poland in 1939, global conflict was inevitable. A small flame turned into an inferno that claimed tens of millions of lives.
This video summarizes a crucial lesson from world history: peace is not just about good intentions, but about the courage to act in a timely manner. If the world again ignores the warning signs, history could repeat itself.
