Описание: In June, 2012, I was camped on the shoreline of Icy Bay in Prince William Sound, Alaska. There was a Black Oystercatcher nest about 50 yards from my tent, at the top up the rock and gravel beach. It was after the biggest snowfall winter on record and snow was still on the ground down very close to the high tide line. The Black Oystercatchers had probably established their "nest", usually just a shallow depression in the gravel, in early June, when the snow was even more advanced on the shoreline. As a result, their nest was probably a little more down the slope of the beach than normal and that probably contributed to one of their eggs rolling, or being accidentally rolled, out of the nest. This is a short clip on my resulting encounter.
