Quick walk through of our Chromecast whole home audio setup.
One of the coolest features of Chromecast Audio and the Google Home app is the audio group setting. If you have multiple Chromecasts or Nest Hub/Speaker Devices, you can set things up so that you can cast audio to specific devices or to all of them at once. Pretty cheap DIY way to create a whole home audio system.
Setup info
Dinette: Nest Mini on top of an ipod hifi dock hooked up to a chromecast audio. Nest mini is mainly there for voice assistant.
Kitchen: First Gen Google Home
Dining Room: Chromecast audio hooked up to old record player console.
Living Room: Nest hub Max. Chromecast With Google TV hooked directly into a Denon AVR On an LG B6 OLED.
Bedroom: Nest Hub. Chromecast with Google TV hooked to a Samsung frame tv and Audyssey Lower East Side speakers.
Bathroom: Nest mini
Office: Nest Hub. Chromecast Audio hooked up directly to a pair of Audioengine A5+
