It's a good thing I had the day off yesterday as out of nowhere the Srg320 dropped a bonus Battletoads Arcade core AFTER updating the work in progress Sega Saturn FPGA core! And who wouldn't want another amazing arcade exclusive beat em up on MiSTer FPGA! Retro gaming bonus!

NOTE: Core installation is currently manual install only. It will not come down with MiSTer FPGA Update all or Downloader. You need to follow the directions in the video to get it running!

I asked, you answered...and I try to listen :) Of all the requests for new content on the channel one of the most frequently asked for videos is a series on the Terasic DE-10 Nano MiSTer FPGA hardware...so here it is! Retro gaming goodness.

On this episode of our MiSTer series we are going to be talking about the recent happenings in the MiSTer FPGA arcade scene in regards to the Battletoads arcade core! Because basically NOBODY was anticipating a retrogaming masterpiece like Battletoads to randomly show up on MiSTer FPGA! Retrogaming win! But its basically Final Fight and Streets of Rage had a toad shaped baby!

Its definitely an alpha core / work in progress but it shows the video game development side of how these cores evolve! Plus Battletoads arcade is quite a rare PCB so this is great from a video game history and preservation standpoint too!

but RARE just didn't make stuff like Donkey Kong Country on SNES....they also made stuff like Battletoads arcade!

Can't wait to play the finished core!
