For a long time, I thought the problem was my disorganized ADHD mom brain.
And that the solution was another planner, a brand-new morning routine, or some kind of reset.
I hear this all the time from overwhelmed moms who feel like they can’t stay consistent no matter what they try.
What actually changed things for me was ending the all-or-nothing mindset in motherhood.
If I couldn’t do everything, I used to shut down and tell myself I’d try again tomorrow.
Finding my floor changed that.
My floor is what I can still do on my hardest days, when everything hits the fan all at once.
Not my best day. Not my productive day.
My bare minimum on low-energy days that still helps me follow through.
Once I stopped judging my floor and started honoring it, I had way fewer days of falling off completely.
Because when I know my floor, I don’t spiral or quit — I stay connected.
And here’s the part I didn’t expect.
When I know my floor, I break through my ceiling more often.
Because most days aren’t floor days.
That’s when consistency in motherhood got easier.
Not perfect, just more sustainable. 🧡
