In Indian Railway Train Lighting system is divided into 4 categories:

01.SG
02.EOG
03.MOG
04.HOG

Basically SG is known as Self Generation.Generation process is with the help of Alternator and Axle pulley system.Most of the Non AC Conventional coaches use this method.

EOG & HOG for 25KV Line control in LHB coaches

MOG for 25 KV Line control in EMU & MEMU trains.

How to check tension of C122 V-Belt Connected between Axle pulley (572.6mm) and Driving pulley which is moved in ratio of 1:3.
