This honestly may be the best cruise port for nature lovers! I have never seen so much wildlife in a port before. Whales, seals, sea lions, and bald eagles, plus all of the tidal critters we found on the shores!
In addition to exploring the port, we walked to downtown Hoonah. Because this was the first cruise of the season, very few of the activities were really open yet, but we still had a full day of exploring!
This port started as the one I was dreading, thinking it would be a waste of a day. On the contrary, I can't wait to come back!
