I've visited many nature reserves over the years, but Idle Valley Nature Reserve located in North Nottinghamshire at a place called Lound, has to be the largest yet.
This brings it's own challenges, with lakes so vast and not much access to the shoreline; often the wildlife is too far away to photograph and even if it is closer, you still need to bring along the big guns (something like a 500mm plus converter).
It's definitely a place that needs several visits to scope out suitable locations.
Not forgetting though, we wildlife photographers love a challenge, so this site is one to rise to.
